Urgent Notice

In compliance with the existing Ontario Provincial emergency stay-at-home order and as several officials of the High Commission are unfortunately ill, the Mission is providing only emergency consular services by mail, over the phone and via e-mail. Besides, majority of our consular works are completed from Bangladesh where offices are working at a limited scale since 5 April 2021. In this context, the consular service delivery might take a longer period of time. We hope to resume normal service as soon as the situation improves.

Bangladesh firmly adheres to and promotes democratic ethos. We hope that the democratic process and constitutional arrangements will be upheld in Myanmar. As an immediate and friendly neighbour, we would like to see peace and stability in Myanmar. We have been persistent in developing mutually beneficial relations with Myanmar and have been working with Myanmar for the voluntary, safe, and sustained repatriation of the Rohingyas sheltered in Bangladesh. We expect these processes to continue in right earnest.
